It can be helpful to know when a book or article has been cited by another author(s), as this can sometimes lead you to similar research.
Go to Google Scholar and search for the title of the book or author. E.g., you might search for the book "They say, I say." Underneath a brief description of each result are several options, including "Cited by X."

Click on "Cited by X" to see a list of books and/or articles that have cited that particular work. Two helpful options include searching within the results and specifying a date range.
